Do you have a pair of roller skates collecting dust somewhere in your apartment/house/garage/storage unit? If so, then this jam is for YOU! Dorrie & Lizzy will be hosting a roller skate jam in North Park and all levels are welcome (yes, that includes beginners)! On Saturday mornings beginning January 24th, we will meet up to play music, skate together, and swap tips n tricks.
Important note: this is NOT a skate class. Think of this as a safe space to dust off your skates, hang out with others, and learn by doing - we will not be providing a curriculum nor guided instruction and all participants are responsible for their own safety and wellbeing. There WILL be plenty of advice going around if you are looking for it (including for beginners).
Protective gear - helmets, knee pads, wrist guards - is strongly encouraged! Again, you are responsible for your own safety.
Dorrie & Lizzy: We're two gals in North Park who love to roller skate and wish we were doing it more often! We are intermediate skaters and anyone joining will be learning with us!
