Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art based on balance, energy, and flow. Aggression is redirected or evaded rather than met with opposing force. The Tai Chi form improves balance and coordination in the body through a series of movements which require adherence to such principles. Proper execution of the form also requires present-mindedness, making it a classic example of moving meditation. This class provides open instruction in the form with a gradual approach. Students can learn at their individual pace in a low-pressure environment.
Quin Herron has practiced Tai Chi since 2015, and is a student of Kathy Fleming and the late Herman Kauz, author of the Tai Chi Handbook.
